This project incorporates the re-development of the existing aquatic facilities at the Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre and includes both  refurbishment of existing facilities as well as construction of new.

Refurbishment works include an upgrade of the existing 25m indoor pool and leisure pool halls, demolition and reconstruction of a leisure/water play pool, demolition and reconstruction of the spa area and an upgrade to the facade of the existing buildings/structures. New works include the construction of an outdoor 50m pool complete with undercover spectator seating, new club rooms and carpark, new change rooms  and minor landscaping works.

The design allows for most of the existing structures over the indoor pools to remain, with features such as alpolic finishes to refresh and offer a new look to the facilities. There is a huge emphasis on providing a fun interactive play area for children in the leisure pool, which will accommodate components for all ages of children.
