At Perkins we like to ask our clients why they chose us. What did they feel we were able to give them that they couldn’t get elsewhere?
They said that with Perkins, they felt like they were working with a builder who was on their side. Someone who took the time to listen and understand, and then pulled out all the stops to make it happen. Someone who was prepared to work constructively and cooperatively with architects, owners and clients. Someone who was prepared to bring their experience to the table for the benefit of all the parties.
When you’re working with Perkins, you’re working with a company that has a fully trained permanent workforce, together with specialist contractors who are aligned with our business philosophy. You’re working with a business that has the resources both financial and physical, to meet all of your expectations and guarantee the delivery of the project. You’re working with an organisation that has the quality and safety management systems in place to ensure safe, compliant projects.
Our People
With a strong management team headed by Dan, Perkins is committed to project delivery, service and integrity.
A youth policy of recruiting high quality tradesmen to staff positions along with career progression opportunities means that Perkins now retains over 80 direct employees, supplemented by up to 300 sub-contractors on a project by project basis.
This ensures that top quality personnel are always available to manage and deliver client projects, large and small.
Our Resources
A successful building company must maintain a solid resource base to enable it to service clients through times of high demand and pressing deadlines. Perkins’ ability to deliver doesn’t depend on the availability of hire equipment and key contractors.
Our range of company owned plant is extensive and includes mobile cranes, telehandlers, excavators, front-end loaders, bobcats, generators, prime movers, trailers, flat top and tip trucks. We also own and maintain around 70 units of temporary site accommodation.
The two hectare yard and head office complex includes a joinery workshop and a steel fabrication facility. Together with the Perth office and attached 600m2 workshop, all these facilities were built and are owned by the group.
