Following on from Perkins completion of Forward Works, the Australind Senior High School Main Works project consisted of five separable portions of works which were spread across multiple locations on the school site. These works provided the students and faculty with a number of great new facilities for many years to come.
Separable Portion 1 – Construction of a new shed and demolition of existing shed.
Separable Portion 2 – Is the main stage of the project and includes a new two-level teaching block building as well as refurbishment works to the Dental Therapy building and Student Services building. A new nature play / amphitheatre was also completed as part of this stage of works.
Separable Portion 3 – Incuded the construction of a new Welding Workshop facility as well as a 32 bay carpark extension.
Separable Portion 4 – Included the resurfacing of the existing Primary School basketball court as well as refurbishments works to the existing D&T Workshop.
Separable Portion 5 – Included an extension to the existing High School basketball courts as well as the removal of the existing temporary access track constructed in the forward works project.
All of these stages of works were completed whilst the school was fully operational.
