The Hands Oval Stadium Redevelopment project was an exciting project located within the heart of Bunbury. This new state of the art stadium meets current AFL venue guidelines allowing AFL pre-season games to be played at the venue as well as providing a fantastic venue of our local sports teams.

The design & construct project included the construction of a new 828 seat, three level stadium building and the demolition of the existing facilities. The main structure included concrete ground slab, concrete suspended slab, concrete tilt panel walls externally, precast concrete plank seating and structural steel roof frame. The new stadium building includes a lift, changerooms, warmup areas, coach’s boxes, timekeepers, media room, offices, public toilets, toilets, first aid, doctor’s rooms, storerooms and new carparks.

“Delivering a sustainable, multi-purpose sports facility to accommodate year-round sport, recreation and community activities, the Hands Oval redevelopment will enhance the facility’s reputation as the premier Australian Football League destination in the region, providing improved male and female player change rooms, club facilities and an enhanced spectator experience.” City of Bunbury
