A world-class resort constructed on a magnificent coastal site in the renowned wine region of Western Australia. The resort includes 45 one, two and three bedroom apartments, together with restaurants, pools and tennis courts.
The infrastructure works entailed the construction of a conference room , amenities building, restaurant, bar, central administration building, infinity edge pool and feature ponds, wading pool, lift, tennis court, all associated external hard / soft landscaping and the building works and services associated to 20 transportable park homes. A total of 45 single, two & three bed apartments were constructed on various levels across the site. The sloping topography of the site provided challenges in terms of access and sequencing of the works.
Materials incorporated in the construction included stone rubble, stone tiling, polished concrete floors, specialized glazing, louvres , timber claddings and fibre cement composite linings. The diverse use of materials increased the challenge in coordinating access for relevant trades.
As a world class 5 star resort it was important that the intricate detail in the fitout was achieved to a high standard.
This project won the title of Best Regional Multi Unit Development in the 2008 MBA Excellence in Construction Awards.
