The West Coast Eagles’ new home at Mineral Resources Park is a state of the art training, administration and community facility. Specifically designed to enhance the club’s operations both on and off the field, as well as bringing the community even closer. This has been achieved through facilities, such as; a gymnasium, sports science area, indoor training hall and a dedicated aquatic recovery hall combined with community interactive spaces, which includes; class rooms, café, inner sanctum experience, sensory theatre and an amphitheatre.
The facility integrates cutting edge technology with traditional sporting programs to create a building that houses a variety of diverse functions, including; player injury management, health and wellbeing, game day analysis, broadcasting and media rooms.
The building is also home to the Wirrpanda Foundation, which provides vital services and support to Indigenous Australians.
The Architect for this project was Populous from Brisbane who has a reputation for producing iconic stadiums and sporting facilities throughout the world. The design of this building and it’s integration into the surrounding neighbourhood is certainly consistent with their reputation.
