Situated on 1.89 hectares, the new Vasse Depot provides a multitude of new facilities to ensure that Western Power can continue to be able to provide its customers with the same high quality service and response time in the region, whilst also providing employees with a safe and secure work environment.

Perkins Builders completed the construction of a number of large shed type structures and covered canopies, including an administration building, fleet workshop, logistics workshop, washbay, refuel area, pole training, 15,000m2 of external concrete hardstands, and other specialised operational spaces. Complex site infrastructure and serving components were installed at the facility, and are key to the region’s operations being connected to the greater Western Power ICT network.

The site also features Western Power’s first live line store that will be temperature controlled and dust-free, in line with Australian Standards. Enhanced physical security measures across the site will protect staff, property and assets.

This project was awarded Best Industrial Building $10-$20m and Excellence in Concrete Construction at the at the 2019 Master Builders Bankwest Building Excellence Awards South West.
