The hangar covers a floor area of just over a 1,000m2 and are accessed from the taxiway by two, sectional opening doors, 19m wide x 7m high, dividing the hanger into two operational zones. One zone is exclusively for a helicopter, while the other serves a dual role being a maintenance hangar. It is equipped with an overhead gantry crane to aid in maintenance inclusive of a floor waste system. The hanger area contains a mezzanine floor that provides space for storage of bulky items, interfaces with the gantry, generous portion of mezzanine floor for training rooms and general store rooms. The hanger also has on the ground floor provision for spares store and maintenance workshops.

The dormitory area contains 6 single rooms with a shared ensuite between every two rooms. The dormitory also caters for a study / lounge area for helicopter crew to relax or study. The study / lounge area opens up into an internal landscaped courtyard with a patio roof.

The Operation side of the building accommodates reception, offices, training rooms, lounge, stores and the operations room which the heart-beat of the facility.
